Fuck that. I was over Reddit before this shit show. There were very few subreddits that were worth anything any more. Lookat /r/AskReddit. It went from a place where you got people to give you answers on many interesting topics to most clever response.
This event just gave me the motivation to change sites and the community the motivation to find decent alternatives.
I can't see myself abandoning reddit entirely, at least in the immediate future, but I've definitely found snapzu to be a much more tranquil way to explore new ideas and current events. Reddit has become a much more functional affair whereas snapzu has become my place to browse. When snapzu has a big and active enough community to give quality, niche discussions I imagine the complete transition will be on the cards.
