Key Issues in Science
Even though there has been a lot of advances in science and technology in the last century, there hasn't been any paradigm shifting revolutionary advance in our understanding of the universe since Einstein.

Bay Area Experience
Americans see foreigners as the people who steal their jobs, and people who destroy American way of life. My observations in the San Francisco Bay area provides clues for the origin of this common view that is shared by many Americans, since the foreign born population in this region increased significantly in the last decade or two, which also caused the current real estate bubble in the region.

Implications of Trump’s Election Victory
Democracy inherently assumes that people know what is best for them, and that they are educated enough, and knowledgeable enough to elect their leaders. But most election results shows again and again that when you let ordinary people elect their leaders, they will screw it up, more often than not.

As you can understand from that article: houses easily cost 1 to 2 million dollars around in SF lately, which are just regular 3 bedroom 2 bathroom single family homes, which you can buy in Phoenix, Arizona for about $200K-$300K.

Bay Area Housing
Housing in the San Francisco Bay Area is not just more expensive than average, it is off the charts expensive, and it represents a never ending housing bubble. Many engineers or other technical people might come here for the job prospects but for the most people, it is not a good idea to move here.

Population Increase and Its Implications
World population keeps increasing. Humanity spreads all over the world just like a cancer, causes other species to go extinct, and changes the face of the earth. The net population in the world continues to increase at an alarming rate.

The fascism was rising in the world about a 100 years ago, in the 20th century, and now we are living the 21st century equivalent of the same thing.

New Wave of Fascism
Fascism is on the rise in the world again. Many totalitarian regimes and dictators in the world, Brexit, the anti-immigrant views in Europe and the rise of Christian right, the election of Donald Trump in the US, etc. They all show signs of another fascist wave in the world, similar to the one observed about a hundred years ago.

As you can understand from that article, we may be too ignorant to attract their attention. Our stage of civilization may not be interesting to them, since they might have seen many others like us before.
