Guilty. No death. Let this person sit and ponder every day the remaining many decades of his life what he did.

A agree. Sometimes, unfortunately, a crime is so egregious, so utterly evil, that it precludes any hope of escape in death. I'd much rather have my tax dollars go into keeping him fit, healthy, and alive for decade after decade in a four walled hell.

The death penalty is too good for him. Let him have all the time in the world to sit back, reflect on his actions, and rot in a 10x10 room for the rest of his days.

But isn't the looming execution an added form of excruciating mental torture along with having to sit through about 12-14 years (average time) of death row with time to think about the crime committed?

That's 12-14 years of appeals, re-appeals, and additional court time taken up trying to "save his life". I think that skipping all of that drama and just go for a life sentence would be less complex in the long run, too.

Just to clarify, I am not a supporter of the death penalty. I was just pointing out that the death penalty is not a you're guilty, now you're dead process, its something a lot more drawn out because it has to be, otherwise there would be much more innocent people being put to death. Also, from what I read, the looming threat of getting the death penalty for murder is not as effective as people believe..

Found guilty on all 30 charges. Excellent work by the feds for once.

Gotta say, seems to me at least that's an overstatement. Excellent work, to me, would've been preventing the attack, not convicting a defendant that whole-heartedly agrees to've committed the crime as charged.

Most likely they will wait till he's middle aged before they take him out.

This is a good, firm and just verdict.
