It sure is. My worry is this much ram just gives software makers permission to make more and more bloated,top heavy programs till eventually nothing will run on anything less.
I remember when 1 gig of ram was impressive.
Yes! I 100% agree - the last thing software makers need is encouragement to make more bloated inefficient programs that need a ton of RAM just to run. Another reason why I like Linux - it's so streamlined. Other OS's, you feel like it's straining the RAM just to bring up a few windows!
That's also why I've ran Linux distros for 13 years. My Dell just has 8GIGS and that's plenty for Ubuntu. I'll be installng UbuntuMATE LTS pretty soon.
