32G of RAM is impressive! Just exactly what complex computationally heavy programs are people expecting to run on this?! The price tag is correspondingly high, and I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend quite that much on a laptop, although I'm sure it'll get some takers. I feel like this is a very limited market.

It sure is. My worry is this much ram just gives software makers permission to make more and more bloated, top heavy programs till eventually nothing will run on anything less. I remember when 1 gig of ram was impressive.

Yes! I 100% agree - the last thing software makers need is encouragement to make more bloated inefficient programs that need a ton of RAM just to run. Another reason why I like Linux - it's so streamlined. Other OS's, you feel like it's straining the RAM just to bring up a few windows!

That's also why I've ran Linux distros for 13 years. My Dell just has 8GIGS and that's plenty for Ubuntu. I'll be installng UbuntuMATE LTS pretty soon.
