Or do you think it's both?

What is that experience that you believe is universally similar for everyone?

It could be something like the pain from the death of a loved one, or something specific.

What is your current desktop/laptop background?

Mine is the default background for Fedora 21, which is also the background for my Snapzu profile. I just love calming backgrounds like that. What about you?

'Tis always fun to break your friends' brains.

Most of you probably already know this, but I just want to remind you:

    1/3 x 3 = 9/9 = 1

    1/3 = .33 (repeating infinitely)

    .33 x 3 = .99 (repeating infinitely)

.99 infinitely repeating is exactly the same as 1; no adding or rounding to it.

If you're just learning this and this is breaking your mind, just think about it:

What can you add to .99 repeating infinitely to make it 1?

The answer is absolutely nothing. Your first thought may be: .00 infinitely repeating with a 1 at the end. Think about that for a second. If you didn't already catch it, infinitely repeating decimals don't have an end. Plus, why would 0's go on and on like that? The simple yet complex fact is that .99 repeating infinitely and 1 are the exact same thing, but you get each by different methods, as you can see above.

Tell this to your friends and acquaintances, and marvel as their mind undergoes a stack overflow, and then they call you a nerd.

    This tribe needs reform.

Prior to browsing through this tribe, I expected discussion and/or debate pertaining to religion. What I see is poking fun of and bashing religion, using instances of bigotry and idiocy of some people that adhere to religion. Part of the reason for this tribe does not have an established etiquette. Please, don't let this turn into some stereotypical /r/atheism clone.

    Dreams are great!

Hello! I'm Nanotwerp, and you can probably tell by my profile that I'm pretty new here. As a bit of background detail, I came here from reddit. Most Snapzites seem to have came from reddit, apparently! I like that this website is still in its youth and developing; enough for me to claim a tribe all about dreams.

Aren't dreams some of the most interesting phenomena in the world? I could just imagine the confusion of the first person to ever sleep; some type of simulation of the person's known reality that they believe to be normal until they wake up. Dreams are amazing, and it surprises me by just how complex they can be. After I had a pretty disturbing dream yesterday, I started piecing things together about dreams. They take things from different areas of our surroundings and give their own spice to it. I just find it really interesting to discuss dreams and the discovery of the circumstances that caused the dream in our immediate environment. That's why I created this tribe. You could describe it as a community dream journal. If you're interested, join my new tribe /t/dreams !
