Yeah, that's working out great for newspapers all over the internet. Why the hell would facebook do this? Need to plump up that bottom line for investors that only understand short selling and not long term market investments.
If anything this could hurt Facebook's standing more than anything else they've done, because most people aren't going to pay for news if they don't get it free, if site 1 has a paywall, site 2 probably doesn't. News can't be monopolized yet, I know they're trying but it's not happening yet.
