Gotta love Markov chains. I wrote a markov function for my IRC bot using a few months of chat logs. The more text I feed it, the more intelligent it sounds.

Conversely, though, I found university hard because my mum insulated my sister and I from what was needed to support us and made sure we were always able to do what we wanted to.
I never learned the value of hard work growing up despite us not having much, so university was a huge challenge for me since I could no longer rely on my natural smarts and learning ability like I had at school.

Yeah, /r/watchpeopledie isn't about hate or 'justice' or anything, it's morbid curiosity. It's for the people who ask 'What does a person look like after they get shot?'.

A couple of EDM tracks that really work for me.
Enjoy! If you want some more, just ask and I'll see what I can dig up!

Errr, not sure. I will say I only joined today as well, but I tried a whole load of /t/'s to see what was around. The biggest disappointment was no /t/talesfromtechsupport.

Is there any way we can have an 'unread notifications counter' on the activity dropdown? It's a little annoying having to check it every now and then to see if anything new has happened.
Apart from that, I'm kinda hoping this doesn't turn into another reddit in some ways. Many reddit users seemed to have a massive hardon for 'Freedom of Speech' and used that as an excuse to be horrible people. Obviously, the reddit admins tried to sort that out and made a huge mess of it, but reading through the info on Snapzu it seems that politeness and friendliness is a core value, and I sincerely hope it stays that way.
Edit: Spelling.

Edit: Also, it's more like reddit's /r/askreddit more than AMA.
Yeah, I didn't mean it was Snapzu's version of AMA, I just enjoyed askreddit.

Personally, I don't think it would be too cluttered since the numbers would be next to their respective icons, but I can see how others could see otherwise. Perhaps it might be something worth putting to the community?
Failing that, something indicating that there are new notifications would also be nice, similar to reddit's famous 'orangered' envelope.
Also, I'm guessing red username means admin? Green is for moderators, then?

There is a /t/asksnapzu though!

That's still rather a manual process. I meant more like the new messages counter the site has going on, except it resets when you open the notifications pane.

AMA
I'll bite.
What subreddit is there not an equivalent tribe of that there really should be? Can include those which would require a significant existing userbase to work.

Isn't it a thing that people who know the really old languages can get paid a whole load by certain companies because their systems rely on software/run on systems which are only compatible with that long-forgotten language?

Fun story time!
When I first found NHK, it was about 10pm one thursday night in my first year of uni (2011). I marathonned it overnight, so by the end it was 9am the next day. I sat for a few minutes, my mind blank, before I started to feel an overwhelming urge to get as far from my room as possible, so I grabbed my coat and went outside.
I stood in the rain looking out over the city for a good 20 minutes and all I could think at the time was how happy I was that I wasn't afraid to go outside.
So yeah, you could say it had an effect on me. I still rewatch it regularly though.

I feel that the fact I recognised it from the tiny thumbnail on my tablet screen shows that I've watched NHK a few too many times.
