When I first found NHK, it was about 10pm one thursday night in my first year of uni (2011). I marathonned it overnight, so by the end it was 9am the next day. I sat for a few minutes, my mind blank, before I started to feel an overwhelming urge to get as far from my room as possible, so I grabbed my coat and went outside.
I stood in the rain looking out over the city for a good 20 minutes and all I could think at the time was how happy I was that I wasn't afraid to go outside.
So yeah, you could say it had an effect on me. I still rewatch it regularly though.
I feel that the fact I recognised it from the tiny thumbnail on my tablet screen shows that I've watched NHK a few too many times.
I just finished watching it last night. It is rather wonderful. What did you think of the ending?
