New study claims that drummers are more intelligent than everyone
According to a collection of studies, drummers are super smart, due to a variety of factors relating to being in the rhythm section. The news comes courtesy of Polymic, who have compiled a series of reports from Oxford and Harvard universities to name a few. What they found was that dude at the back of the band isn't the head scratcher that you might think he is, in fact he is more likely to be the smartest of them all.

Been in bands with a few drummers. Nice guys, but they weren't all that brilliant. Since they always had tons of equipment, you always had to jam in their shitty, smelly garage instead of yours.
Hehe...Yeah, I've played with some drummers on both sides of the intelligence fence. A few I know are REALLY brilliant. Some others - not so much.
Ringo would be the best example.
