Good video for beginners to have somewhere to start. Everyone packs differently. I like to keep my fuel on the outside because there's always some residue after pouring and it stinks - i don't want it anywhere near my sleeping bag, clothing, or food.
His ABCs make sense and are pretty intuitive. But I don't like to have anything taking up precious "accessible" space besides the things I need to be accessible. Backup batteries would certainly not get precious hipbelt pocket space.

Why don't you just put the fuel in a ziplock bag?
I agree with the batteries not being a necessity and IMO, they are better placed deep inside the pack.
