    There's nothing wrong with examining what could be improved within the US. Rather than dismiss this as sheer US-bashing, we could examine what Switzerland is doing right and studying how we could adapt it for life in the US.

      You could start by implementing a right to some weeks of holiday a year.

      I agree. Unfortunatley, I don't have much hope for adapting these policies in the US. Besides the tangled mess our legislative process has become, I think there's a distincly different social attitude in this country. One that glorifies the "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality (misguided as it may be).

        You're right, but it wasn't always this way and it doesn't always have to be this way. We can fix what's broken as long as we refuse to listen to the people who tell us we're powerless. Apathy and helplessness only reinforce the status quo.
