[Discussion] What Anime have the best/most unique art styles?
Please try and include examples. Also, trying out posting images instead of normal discussion posts. Not sure which works better, but JT was all like "dude do link posts instead of self posts you can do so much more with link posts" so idunno .-. e: yah this post style is stupid for the discussion posts. going back to self posts tomorrow

I think Kill la Kill definitely has the most unique art style I've ever seen in an anime. From the costumes to the environment its all really unique to me.
I also think that Fate/Zero has had the highest animation quality I've ever seen. There's nothing too special about the art style itself, but the animation itself is so fluid it's insane. Berserker is also the best CGI I think I've ever seen in an anime.

Anything by Yoshitoshi ABe is unique (Lain, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei)
Kaiji and Akagi have quite unique art styles (and some of the best noses you'll ever see)
Yuasa Masaaki always does something unique (Kaiba, Tatami Galaxy, Ping Pong)
Mononoke
Redline - some of the best animations currently
Kuuchuu Buranko
Aku no Hana - looks ugly at first but you get used to it, fits the show
PSG - Gainax doing American cartoon style, dub is infinitely better
Katanagatari's got a pretty cool art style. I'm not sure how to describe it, it feels a bit "flat". Some character designs of the maniwa in particular are really nice.
I also like the scenery in most shows made by shaft. They tend to use a lot of geometric shapes and patterns in the architecture of buildings. Monogatari, mekakucity actors, nisekoi and madoka.
