Researchers from the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have developed a new flow battery that stores energy in organic molecules dissolved in neutral pH water. This new chemistry allows for a non-toxic, non-corrosive battery with an exceptionally long lifetime and offers the potential to significantly decrease the costs of production.

Not just encouraging people to work less, but wouldn't the main point is for people to focus more on their family, kids, hobbies, etc. Happier people I figure would be more likely to be a more contributing member of society as well.

I find it difficult to image not spending most of my time living reminiscing about the good old times with an ability like that. I wonder how vivid those memories really are, because if the experience is nothing short of something like a lucid dream then I would personally consider it more of a curse than a gift, especially when considering all of the bad / terrifying memories we are designed to forget.

The middle class has been declining steadily for the past 3 decades, this comes as no surprise considering technology is making the everyday worker ever more obsolete as we move towards a major technology driven economical shift.
