      What the Supreme Court does is clarify law. When the Supreme Court applied the Fourteenth Amendment to marriage law, it clarified how the government can and cannot behave toward its citizens. Kim Davis tried to use her authority as a government official to discriminate, and the courts issued a correction. She tried to defy that correction and went to jail for it.

      I'm sorry this is so difficult for you to understand, but the judge acted correctly within the limits of his powers. It was Davis who abused her powers and paid the price for it.
