Look, i'm not saying that there aren't some families or individuals coming from those countries looking for a better life. Obviously there are always going to be outliers from the majority and exceptions to the rule. What I'm saying is that it's pretty safe to assume that, for the most part, people coming here illegally from countries that hold a notoriously hostile view of this nation are probably not crossing the borders with the best intentions.

* I don't think he understands politics, the media, or public relations.*
Absolutely, I think you hit the nail on the head. He strikes me as an out of touch old businessman who doesn't really have any business running the country. I haven't watched any video on the subject, have just been sticking to reading his quotes, so I missed the one you mentioned about the women being raped and what not. I would like to believe that he is wrong, and since I don't have any hard numbers on the issue in front of me, i'd have to give the immigrants the benefit of the doubt which is really what he should have done as well. Again though, i'm not even sure if that's really waht he meant at this point or if he just poorly worded it as his fumbling is causing it all just criss cross into this giant mess. I know how politically correct and sensitive everyone is in this day and age and I still believe this is a major contributing factor, however there's no denying that he is also at fault in this whole ordeal as anyone running for high office needs to be able to convey their messages in a clear and concise manner, and than stick by said messages when pushed on the issue.

For me the difference is in Dark Souls I was captivated by the world and felt there was lore hidden beneath the surface just waiting for me to discover through exploration. With Destiny, it felt like the lore was hidden because DLC.

Reddit is quickly becoming "yahoo news-ish" under her control. Real stories are removed, intelligent discussion is impossible, and all you're really left with are odd news stories, uplifting events, company p.r., and pictures of cats. I joined Reddit to escape all of that and now sadly, I'm here for the same reason.

I don't really care for Trump nor would I ever want to see him elected President, but after reading what he said, I don't really see the issue here:
"I like Mexico. I love the Mexican people. I do business with the Mexican people, but you have people coming through the border that are from all over. And they're bad. They're really bad," he said. "You have people coming in, and I'm not just saying Mexicans, I'm talking about people that are from all over that are killers and rapists and they're coming into this country.” Source
What is not true about the above statment? What is so offensive or racist about it? He specifically says, "they're coming from all over", and, "I'm not just saying Mexicans". I mean think about it, anyone who wants in for any sort of nefarious reason can be smuggled by drug cartels up through Mexico and across the border with relative ease. Just an example, here's a quote from a border patrol agent about the whole issue:
“It’s frustrating for all of us and there’s no doubt that we have OTMs [Other Than Mexicans] coming from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia and other parts of the world that we are very concerned with — these guys won’t be turning themselves into Border Patrol like the family units or children. I expect we’ll see more the OTMs of special interest this year and next, now that they know they can get in easier and they won’t be turned back home.” Source
Now I highly doubt that people are coming from Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, ect.... to make a better life and appreciate America and what not. So what I don't understand is why is everyone out for blood over comments that are for the most part, pretty damn factual. I mean I understand the backlash in the news as theres always motivating factors on spinning a story in one direction or another, but why the hell is the general public buying into this bullshit? Trump is no saint, but he didn't exactly call for racial genocide either. He simply told the truth.

I posted that quote as opposed to the former because it was a reiteration of his stance that he had stated shortly after and one that he still seemed to be receiving just as much flak for. I apologize if it came off as misleading in any way as that was not my intention. I was simply trying to post the view he held that seemed to be causing this uproar. I agree with you 100 percent that his delivery was atrocious and seems to be at the root of the problem here. Obviously there is a problem with crime among some of the immigrant population, aside from the crime of coming here illegally, but to paint the majority as thugs and rapists seems like a bit of a misstep. However, the issue I still hold with the backlash he's receiving is that while the initial comments may have come off as a bit harsh, he did further clarify his statement and I believe that is where the outrage should have ceased. His delivery was off, we've all had those moments. It's no reason to crucify someone. As I said before, I don't even like Trump. But this whole situation comes across as outrage for the sake outrage.

I agree that self-entitlement was an issue on reddit, however I must disagree with you on this not being "our home" so to speak. As I said before, we certainly don't own or lead this "household", and thus don't get to make the rules that come along with it. However, as members of the community, we do "live" within the confines of this "home" and thus should have the right to express our opinions on what is and is not allowed here, and thus the directions in which the "heads of the household" take us. After all, that's why many of us are here today, because we didn't care for the direction that previous leaders were taking us.

I apologize then, as you're right, I don't often visit /r/all, just the main reddit.com page. You're analogy with the unlocked room makes alot of sense and I can see how that would be problematic and definatley something that this site would want to avoid. I suppose I just wish that the community could figure out some sort of way to allow all mindsets here while at the same time keeping some of the harsher areas quarantined. Also, and I say this with no sarcasm whatsoever, thank you for enlightening me on some of the FPH history. I'd rather be shown to be wrong on an issue and aquire correct information that to continue on misinformed.

I have a membership here, just as you do. So is this not my home now as well? I may not be head of the household, but I do reside here now, do I not? Therefore, should I not be allowed to express my opinion and say when I agree or disagree with rule or regulation that is in place so that I may then try to help shape the future of my new home? You see you can't say that all the former redditors are welcome here and then claim that we're in your house and need to show some respect. We are all members here, and thus should all be listened to and treated equally.

I agree, this site has a MUCH better feel to it than Reddit ever did for me. The dscussions are civil, the atmosphere is good, it's a great place. And I completely understand why with all of that being said, many people would be very reluctant to allow a FPH type of mentality to have a home here. I just personally hate the idea of any kind of speech being completely censored, regardless of how ignorant it may be, because from what i've seen, once censorship is allowed in even the smallest amounts, it will inevitably grow and expand and become a detriment to the community it was originally setup to protect.

I'm in no way advocating that anyone be allowed to go around threatening or verbally abusing others throughout the site or to the entire "party" as you so put it. But that is where I think the whole party anology just doesn't fit. This is a private site or party, yes, and ultimately what is and is not allowed here is completely up to the hosts of said party. While I may not agree with some of the rules, I still respect that they are in place. However, this house party is not just occuring in one large convention center area. It has many rooms. I may not like what's occuring in one room down the hall, but if that's the case, i'll just stay out of there. I'll advise others to stay away too through downvotes of any room material that moves its way on up, as i'm sure many others will as well. In this way, things are self regulating. I never saw FPH material on the front page of reddit as it would have never recieved enough upvotes. Hell, I didn't even know it was a thing until after it was shutdown, which shows just how much of an effect its' existance had during its' heyday. What i'm getting at is that personally, even though I may not care for the ideas or opinions of those types of people, I don't see anything wrong with allowing them to create a place of their own to go and speak to other ignorant but like minded individuals.

I never visited or cared for the mindset of the hateful subreddits and would hold the same attitude towards hateful tribes if they were to pop up. However, that doesn't mean that I don't think that they should have a right to exist and express their opinions.

I respect it, I just don't agree with it. I'm not going out of my way to create any such tribe or get others to do so, but at the same time I believe that they should have the right to and that the rules should be changed to allow that. From what i've seen thus far, this site seems very well done and the community pretty pleasant. However, that doesn't mean I think it's perfect and if it's going to grow than with growth comes change. The direction this all takes remains to be seen, but personally I think this place would benefit in the long run if the rules we're discussing were altered.

The reason I and many others left Reddit was because of the increasing levels of censorship that were being implemented. So while I may not agree with the attitudes of the FPH group, I still support their rights to express their opinions would like to see that right respected on this site as well. If we're all going to start a new and help Snapzu grow then we need to learn to accept the bad that comes along with all of the good.
