In high school we had to do a project where we needed to investigate, prepare and then report a news story using an actual news stage, the local people came and set it up in our library. The videos were then played back in the class a little later so that you could be there when yours aired... horrible, horrible, I remember asking the girl next to me, "do I really sound like that?" I do, it's horrible.

You only think it is horrible, people who know you don't. I have sung in recording studios. When I sing, it sounds different and wow..is that me? (yes). When I talk, yikes...and yet others say my speaking voice is ok. I think we should recognize that our voice, people love and cherish and feel comfort in the familiarity of it. It is a wonder to be cherished.
