All in all, I'm rather hype about the downtime as it means we're going to be getting a lot of new members. This pleases me greatly, as I really enjoy the content on the site. New blood would be rather nice.

I'd be perfectly fine by this. Change the name, keep the concepts and vision, make the game anyway. Besides, Kojima could easily make his own company. There'd be people flocking to work with him. He's got mad rep in the industry.

I've loved video games since I was four. A lot of the content I would tear through on Reddit was all gaming news. Industry figures, industry news, and the games themselves, I really can't get enough of that stuff. It's a hobby that takes up most of my time. As for where I'm from, I'm from Houston, TX. I've lived there for years and I love the place. Great food, nice people, but no one can drive on 45 for some reason.

I'm still rather upset that this has happened. I love horror games and make it a point to purchase (I know full well there are some I'll never beat because I get too scared) them whenever I can. Silent Hills was looking like it was going to be a game, despite how scared I get, that I would have forced myself through regardless. Two industry giants, video game legend Kojima and movie legend Del Toro were set to make a game that would, and I quote, "scare the shit out of you". There's no way that the game wouldn't have made a huge profit. I know people that weren't even gamers that were looking forward to it just because Del Toro's name was on it. But now the powers that be let Kojima go and have decided to focus on mobile gaming instead.
It's a damn sad time for the company. However, mobile games make money and are low effort to make. You either die a hero or live long enough too see yourself become the villain.

I can't help but think I might be a bit too hopeful for my own good, but I do hope to god that these become well spread and used about in my lifetime. Hopping in the car to sit back, play video games on whatever handheld device I have at the time, and enjoy the ride without stressing that I could be in an accident sounds great. I mean, I love to drive as much as the next guy, but I always get nervous around towns and cities.

It's a bit sad to think about, but it's likely the truth. If they keep trying to push their safe space "SJW" mentality, people are going to catch wind and just up and leave. As much as I hate the term and as much as I don't enjoy sounding like a tin-foil hat guy, SJWs tend to ruin everything. =[

Just hopped over today from Reddit myself, man. So far, really liking the place. Already starting to recognize a few of the names here. So far so good, as far as I'm concerned.

Will do! This place is already looking to be rather friendly and welcoming. The community is a bit small, but I don't mind it in the slightest. It'll be nice to be a part of the growth here.

There's no shame in my game when it comes to being a nerd of a dork that tells the worst of puns. Glad you made a tribe. I went ahead and joined the second I noticed a NSP song on it.
