I was thinking about this the other day, after reading yet another email from Vontage with the text output from a robocall message.
The problem has already been solved, just not implemented. Set up an IVR that announces "please press 7 to talk to a human being". Anything which does not press the right number gets shitcanned.
So, humans get through without a hassle, robocallers talk to robocallers, and my phone won't ring in the middle of the night.
I like this guy's idea, too.
