A 48 hour blackout is just a hissy fit, it won't change anything. If they stayed dark until u/spez actually changed the policy, it might make a difference.

Welp, I can confirm, I am a 15+year user of reddit, and I am moving on. Its been a patchy ride but you can't shake your head in any direction without seeing news firehoses aimed at your face, so I don't think I'm going to miss anything.
Same here. Probably not quite 15 years, but almost. It’s so great for the small communities dedicated to some niche thing you love, but I can’t support the site that killed Apollo. I hope to find somewhere to call home!

Reddit is shit but this will have minimal impact until a competitor comes along which is open, free and not run by absolute knobs
