Bill Gates says putting worldwide internet access before malaria research is 'a joke'
Bill Gates is once again speaking out against the internet-first approach many tech leaders have taken to philanthropy. "As a priority? It’s a joke," Gates tells the Financial Times, when asked.

He's absolutely right. Poverty, famine and disease are basic survival needs. The internet is not.
These "tech leaders" want the internet to be available to everyone so there could be more people they can advertise and sell their products to. They are doing it for themselves and the expansion of their companies, the whole thing comes off as self serving. Bill does have a point.. Who needs the internet, when your loves ones and you are dying of Malaria.
