Canonical announces first Ubuntu smartphone manufacturers
The wait is almost over. On February 19, Canonical announced that it had signed agreements with mobile device manufacturers Spain's bq and China's Meizu to bring Ubuntu smartphones to consumers around the world. The first native Ubuntu smartphones are expected to be in customers' hands in 2014.

I'm really excited to see what the initial adoption rate of these devices will be. It will also be interesting to see if this further buries RIM and MS and if Ubuntu can be a true third contender in the mobile handset/OS space.
Im actually looking forward to an Ubuntu smartphone, and will get one as soon as a decent one comes out.
I might have to get me one of these!
It's interesting watching the changes in Ubuntu.
