Facebook admits to taking phones calls and texts from people's phones
Facebook has made clear that it harvests data on people's phone calls and text messages. But it says that people consented to having that information collected, and that it was only used to "provide you with a better experience across Facebook". In the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, many have looked into the data that is being collected by Facebook, which can be done by downloading the company's file on you from its website.

Android apps let you see the permissions requested by the app before installing anything. If I'm considering an app, and its permissions include call logs or to read text messages, I just don't install that app, I'll happily live without it. I'd rather have my privacy.
Far too many people don't read, or don't understand what they are agreeing to.
"Just hurry up and give me this cool new ringtone that needs full access to everything".
