Its good that they start off with this. I don't know how many times the old Myth Busters "Pirates wore eye patches so they could see in the dark" on TIL and I got murdered for telling everyone they were wrong. Reddit is not the most trustworthy site to learn things. Myth Busters is also not the best place to learn history.
