Cops are such fucking pussies these days. I cant believe you would let yourself in, get scared of a pacing dog and then shoot it. Whatever happened to having the balls to pepper spray the dog if it indeed got violent, or calmly retreat the same way you came. This shit always pisses me off.

I would sue the police department for gross negligence in entering private property without a warrant and then killing a family pet in cold blood. They need a good lawyer, but It will definitely be an uphill battle.
