My wife makes two amazing dips, both of which are very frequently requested. I don't know the exact recipes for either one, so please forgive the lack of precise details. :)
The first is a seafood dip. It's basically a layer of blended cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream, then seafood sauce, a layer of diced bell peppers, green onions, and imitation crab meat, and then topped with shredded cheese. Normally served cold with a bag of tortilla chips, but we also tried it once with some tortilla wedges that were brushed with oil and baked in the oven just long enough that they started getting crispy. Amazing!
The second is a pretty simple dessert-style dip - it's mostly just thin layers of sweetened cream cheese, caramel ice cream topping, and toffee bits. Served cool with tart granny smith apple slices. A comparable recipe would be this one. Seriously, this one is very addictive! As soon as the plate is on the table, everyone tries to elbow their way in to get some.
My own go-to is usually meatballs. I make a mean meatball mix with ground beef, ground pork, ground sausage, a few spices, an egg or two, and a surprisingly-effective alternative to bread crumbs - ground-up goldfish crackers. I don't know what it is about those crackers, but they turn an ordinary meatball into something truly amazing. Works great for homemade burgers too!
Damn, and now I'm hungry. I guess it's meatballs for dinner tomorrow, plus leftovers for lunch for the following few days... :)

I make a huge pot of chili every 3-4 months. This gives me lunches for the following few days, plus another 10+ single servings in ziplock bags for the freezer.
For some reason, one time I seriously misunderstood "1-2 cloves of garlic, minced". There's absolutely no explanation as to why, as I've made this several times before and should have known exactly what I was doing. I guess I really wasn't paying attention this time.
Anyways, the pot ended up with a full minced bulb of garlic in it (which is roughly 10-15 cloves) and then it simmered for a good 4-5 hours.
It was, by far, the worst thing I've ever tasted. I like garlic, but this was so overpowering that there was no possible way to salvage any part of it.

It's like everyone is hellbent on not sharing, so they all pay through the nose for taxis instead.
I'm Canadian, and (to be quite honest) that's exactly what "the American way" appears to be sometimes.
Many Americans also seem okay with things like skyrocketing healthcare costs because the alternative of a tax-funded, single-payer system would mean that their deadbeat neighbor would be guaranteed the same basic inclusive coverage that they have. The same mentality seems to apply here - why would those that can pay be subsidizing those that can't?

Wow... he sounds just a little bit angry about something.
Sure, Justin Timberlake's career skyrocketed after NSync. It happens. Sometimes one member carries the rest of the group, whether anyone is aware of it or not. Sometimes all it takes is a chance at being the sole person in the spotlight for everyone (including that person) to realize it.

Coincidentally enough, I just started using a safety razor yesterday.
I picked up some generally-accepted decent starter stuff (Parker 26C razor, sampler pack of blades, soap and brush). I figure my up-front cost to get started was about $100, but that included 100 sampler blades so I should be good for a while.
I've only tried it once so far but never really noticed a big difference, although I'm sure much of that is my lack of skill using the razor and soap/brush, and also maybe the first blade I tried from the sampler isn't ideal for me.
Still, can't go wrong when the blades only cost about $0.10 each (vs. ~$3-4 each for cartridges).

My diet (although mostly lying to myself).
I do try to aim for a specific target number of calories, fat, carbs, and protein per day and I tend to make a good plan for each meal throughout the day, but some days I'll just grab a burger or slice of pizza even though I know it'll completely mess with this food plan.
I fully support having a "cheat day" occasionally, just not every 3-4 days. :)
