Motorcycles should be treated exactly like cars in every way, shape and form on the road. You stay between the lines, you signal when appropriate, and you drive the prevailing speed. Stuck in traffic? Then you sit there with everyone else. Driving in between cars at speed is just asking for trouble.
I don't know what the intent of the car driver was. It could have been bad timing, or it was malicious. In any case, if the biker was using his vehicle in an unsafe fashion and it bit him in the ass. You are completely free to drive your motorcycle in any way you choose whenever you are not on taxpayer property. Until then, wait your turn.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'd be willing to bet that the insurance company would put the blame on the biker.
Honestly, there is a lot of attention that needs to be focused one riders, because one small mistake by a driver of a car and the biker can easily be killed. This however does not mean that motorcyclists should get full reign on the streets... Riding between cars and squeezing through small places at retarded speeds is not what a responsible rider will do, and this guy is 100% in the wrong. Respect on the road goes both ways, this guy was obviously in the wrong (the biker I mean).
