They lasted longer than I thought they would. About 10 years ago, they built a second Walmart a block away from our local Toys R Us. They didn't seem to have much traffic after that, even at Christmas.

Our K-Mart closed about 5 years ago, and the 2 closest towns that Sears in the malls closed in the last year.
