How To Make Consumers Understand VR/AR
In today’s world of hyper-connectivity we increasingly stare at the rectangles in our hands, on our desks, and mounted on our walls, allowing them to take us from A to B within their confined environments. But immersion ends when we stop looking at our rectangles. If today’s computing platforms get you from A to B faster than ever before, tomorrow’s will power the first implementation of imagination. The technology of tomorrow is Immersive and therefore the medium should be called Immersive.

Skyrim for PlayStation VR is a Frighteningly Empowering Experience
Announced during the PlayStation Media Showcase at E3 2017, Bethesda’s sprawling milestone RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming to PlayStation VR. Gran Turismo Sport acquits itself well in VR
Is there a better fit for virtual reality than the humble racing game? Ever since sampling iRacing with an Oculus Rift I've sworn by the pairing, and now have a dedicated set-up at home. There's something sublime about how the technology fits the genre - how a fixed cockpit works so well within the limitations of contemporary VR, and how a decent steering wheel solves in an instant the sometimes fuzzy control problem that people are still trying to solve elsewhere.

Oculus Rift headsets have stopped working because of an expired certificate
Oculus Rift users today found that their headsets were not working, and the problem appears to be a single expired certificate, as reported by Neowin. The certificate, which is part of the Oculus Runtime service, is being read as invalid, and the cause is likely a simple mistake like someone forgetting to push out a new file. The file causing issues is called OculusAppFramework.dll and needs to be updated in order for the headsets and software to run as normal.
