+23 +4Sony nuked PlayStation VR’s biggest problem by promising PS5 support
Contrary to conventional wisdom, the best-selling consumer electronics products aren’t necessarily a company’s latest or highest-end products; mass-market customers often gravitate instead towards affordable models with good enough performance. That’s the reason console makers keep last-generation models around after launching superior sequels: as long as there’s a promise of at least token continued support, “old” hardware is still viable.

+6 +1Dragon's Dogma Is Getting The Fresh Chance It Deserves On Switch
I missed out on Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma when it first released in 2012. The reception was positive, if somewhat mixed. The Kotaku review noted that it was a game with potential that fell short. Since then, it’s developed a cult following thanks to intense monster slaying and a large open world. The upcoming Switch port for its enhanced version, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, is fantastic, and after pouring nearly 20 hours into it this weekend, I’ve yet to get bored.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider didn't have a lot of buzz when it hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC last year, but apparently it did pretty well. While the latest Lara Croft adventure got off to a pretty slow start, by the end of 2018 it surpassed 4 million copies sold, which was a bit under Square Enix's expectations, but developer Eidos Montreal seems happy with how the game performed critically and commercially. “We’re super happy with how Shadow of the Tomb Raider turned out, both on the critics side and performance,” said producer on the game Jonathan Dahan while speaking with US Gamer.
