New York woman missing since 1975 found alive in Massachusetts
A woman who disappeared from upstate New York after being dropped off for a doctor's appointment 42 years ago has been found suffering from dementia and living in an assisted-living facility in Massachusetts, authorities said. The sheriff's office in Sullivan County, New York, said Flora Stevens, 78, was using the last name Harris when detectives tracked her down this week at the residence in Lowell, near Boston.

Most couples would have panicked, but they took it in stride. “Things get taken all the time out here,” Mr. Kitcheon said with a shrug. He and Ms. Vestal live in a tent by the side of a parking lot in the south of Seattle, a few minutes’ drive from downtown. Mark Lloyd, a local resident and volunteer, and now friend to the couple, stepped in. He gave Mr. Kitcheon a shirt and drove them both to a Goodwill store. As is the way in their relationship, the couple helped each other choose new clothes.

But, the mother desperately needed to go to the bathroom and convinced the Chik-Fil-A employees to open the closed restaurant to allow her to use the lavatories.
