It probably took no more than a few seconds for Tiziana Cantone to begin the sequence of events that led to her suicide. In April 2015, the 31-year-old from Mugnano, on the outskirts of Naples, sent a series of sex videos to five people via WhatsApp. The recipients included her boyfriend Sergio Di Palo, with whom she had an unstable relationship. The videos showed her performing sex acts with a number of unidentified men.

Child dies after being trapped in a pile of snow
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says it appears as though the boy was digging a tunnel into a snow pile when it collapsed on him around 4 p.m. Wednesday on Aiken Road in the Town of Pendleton. The child was taken by ambulance to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Mom: Son, 11, killed himself after girlfriend faked suicide
Charges are pending against a juvenile after a Michigan mother said a social media prank, in which her 11-year-old son's girlfriend faked her own suicide, led the boy to take his own life. Katrina Goss said Thursday that she found her son, Tysen Benz, hanging by the neck March 14 in his room after seeing social media posts and texts that his 13-year-old girlfriend had killed herself. Goss said the girl and some of her friends orchestrated the prank. It was not clear who faces charges.

Jersey Shore MIT grad dies in 'prank' falling from library dome
An MIT graduate from the Jersey Shore fell to his death after what is believed to have been a prank at his alma mater went terribly wrong. Nicholas Paggi, 24, from Bayville was climbing the school’s famous “Great Dome” of the Barker Engineering Library when he came down the side of one of the roofs and slipped trying to go back up the other side, his mother Helga Paggi told CBS Boston, and was found in the bushes below.

When Lori Brown received a phone call from her son, Harrison Brown, on Monday afternoon, the person on the other line wasn’t her son, but rather the voice of a frantic young woman who said he had been attacked. “And she said, ‘Are you Harrison’s mom?’ and you could tell there was something bad going on at the other end,” Lori said. The UT student on the phone didn’t know Harrison, she just happened to come into the gym and turned back toward the door. “She was coming out of the door — he was holding his hand over his chest and there was blood coming out of his chest. He had held the phone out and said, ‘Call my mom.'”

French singer Barbara Weldens dies on stage in concert
An up-and-coming French singer, Barbara Weldens, has died on stage, apparently by being electrocuted. She had been performing at a church in the picturesque village of Goudron, in the Lot region of the south-west, when she collapsed. Storms were reported in the area at the time. 7-month-old boy dies after being left in a hot car in northeast Phoenix
A 7-month-old boy left in a hot car in northeast Phoenix has died. The baby has been identified as Zane Endress. Phoenix police said he was in the care of his grandparents at the time. No arrests have been made. The car was parked in a residential neighborhood near 44th Street and Greenway. Police believe the family may have been returning from work, parked their car, and possibly forgot the baby was still inside.

Jamel Dunn, 31, drowned on July 9 - his struggle watched by five teenagers in a park in the town of Cocoa, close to Orlando. Yet they did nothing to help and failed to call the emergency services.

Sunbathers killed as plane makes emergency landing on Portugal beach
A light plane has made an emergency landing on a packed beach in Portugal, killing a 56-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl who were sunbathing, authorities say. Hundreds of sunbathers were on the popular beach at Caparica, 30 kilometres south of Lisbon, and witnesses said some people ran into the sea to avoid the plane.
