Eiji Aonuma: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Never Be Placed In The Timeline
Its long and rich history has been much debated, but The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has stated that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will never be placed in the chronological timeline. His reason? Nintendo has enjoyed seeing everyone have their own interpretation of the adventure, and that if they restricted that by placing it in the overarching story, “it would eliminate the room for imagination.”

The Dream's Over Folks, Nintendo Confirms There Are "No Plans" For Zelda: Skyward Sword On Switch
Over the last few days, the Nintendo community has been bubbling with excitement (or in some cases, mild indifference) over the idea of an HD re-release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately for those who wanted to see it happen, however, it would appear that no such project is in the works.

Twitch streamer plays Breath of the Wild for 95 hours, then finds tutorial
Have you ever played a game for hours or days, only to find a technique, weapon or option tucked away in a labyrinthine menu that radically changes how you play the game, or makes it instantly easier? It can be a welcome feeling, realizing that a difficult task is now made trivial. But it can be equally infuriating, knowing that the hours behind you have been ground out doing unnecessary work.

The original 'Legend of Zelda' has a massive hidden area that one player finally opened, more than 30 years later
A huge portion of the original "Legend of Zelda" was inaccessible to players for over 30 years — until now. The original "Legend of Zelda" for the Nintendo Entertainment System is a massive, open-world game — and it could've been even bigger. That's because the game's voluminous open world was actually cut in half before the game's release; the lower half is known as the game's "minus world," where elements of the game could be tested by its developers at Nintendo.

A Modder Is Trying To Recreate The Legend Of Zelda In Doom
Doom and Zelda don’t have a lot in common beyond heroes killing a bunch of monsters. But one modder, Exkodius, has spent the last three years trying to recreate the original The Legend of Zelda in the Doom engine.

Breath Of The Wild Has Been A Top 20 Seller In Japan For Two Years
By now, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild needs no formal introduction. Hailed by many as a masterpiece, the game won several awards, including the prestigious Game of the Year award at 2017 The Game Awards. It beat out PUBG, Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, and even Super Mario Odyssey. Despite this acclaim, however, it may be surprising to hear that the game is still selling massively well in Japan. In a tweet linking to an article to 4Gamer.net, we can see that Breath of the Wild is still in the top 20 best-selling games in the Japanese market.

How an Indie Developer Is Making an Official Zelda Game
Cadence of Hyrule marks a fairly unprecedented step for Nintendo. While it’s fundamentally a mash-up of The Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the NecroDancer, the next Zelda game is still being made by a small, third-party indie developer, and is even being called a “Nindie” by Nintendo itself. As exciting as the announcement is, how the heck did that happen?

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Team Inspired By Red Dead Redemption 2, Nintendo Says At E3 2019
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was one of the big surprises to emerge from Nintendo's E3 2019 press conference, and while the publisher didn't let too much slip during the Direct stream itself, it has now teased a little more information on the upcoming sequel.

The Zelda: Link's Awakening remake has minimal changes, but this classic doesn't need them
Link’s Awakening was near perfect to begin with – and the remake isn’t going to mess with that design. As the old saying goes, there’s more than one way to skin a cat. There’s more than one way to remake a classic, too, as we’re seeing: Resident Evil 2 is big-budget, flashy and generally faithful. Final Fantasy 7 Remake looks like it’ll be more of a modern re-imagining than a beat-for-beat remake.

Modders add Skyward Sword's Earth Temple to Breath of the Wild
The modding community constantly delivers. Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece, but it’s not without flaws. One of the chief complaints against this stellar open world game is the lack of traditional dungeons. Modders took this as a challenge, and a few months ago they began releasing dungeon-building tools. At first, these tools were only used to make minor edits, but major strides have been made since then. Most recently, modder kreny has released a playable version of Skyward Sword‘s Earth Temple. You can check out footage of the recreated dungeon by clicking below!

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Review
Playing The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is an exercise in time travel. Ahead of the Switch remake, I replayed a 2011 version of a 1998 version of the 1993 original. I found the famously inscrutable handheld, top-down Zelda as pleasingly difficult to scrute as ever. Its hazy, Twin Peaks-inspired story and compact, twisting overworld were undimmed by time, but its dungeons were slightly lacking by comparison with what came after, built frustratingly often around just finding hidden areas rather than truly rewarding puzzle solving.

The Wind Waker HD Needs to Come to Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has come out with a lot of ports over the last few years for the Nintendo Switch. Many have talked about a Zelda HD Collection, but if there’s one game that needs to come out for the Switch, it’s The Wind Waker. It’s not only one of the best Zelda games, but one of the best games on both the Wii U and the Nintendo GameCube. It has a charm that so many other games, including Zelda titles, lack. Its story is arguably the best, up there with Skyward Sword. Its endearing and the graphical style still holds up today; even the GameCube version.

Two Of The Worst Zelda Games Have Been Recreated On The PC
Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon were the first two of three Zelda games Nintendo published on the ill-fated Philips CD-i system in the early 90s. They are very bad—so bad Nintendo doesn’t recognise them as series canon—but they’ve still got a certain charm to them, and so this fan effort to rebuild them from the ground up on PC is pretty neat.
