Netflix to Produce The Witcher TV Series

Netflix Nearing 180 Million International Subscribers

If it’s possible, it’s starting to look like people could have been underestimating Netflix’s international potential. Netflix’s CEO is ready to cancel some shit

Netflix takes a famously light hand when it comes to canceling its shows, to the point that an abrupt first-season elimination—like the one that recently ended Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down—constitutes a major divergence from the streaming service’s usual patterns. If you ask the company’s CEO, Reed Hastings, though, it might be time for Netflix to start giving way more stuff the axe. The trouble, Hastings says, is that the company’s shows have just been too darn good.

Netflix to Overtake ESPN in 2018 with the Biggest Budget in Television

ESPN has been the biggest spender in television entertainment for several years now. With an average of $7.3 billion budgeted every year, they continually outspend other networks by a large margin. Buying the rights to things like Monday Night Football and NBA and MLB games, it makes sense that the network has to spend big to maintain rights to this programming. Live sports are expensive, and ESPN is, at least now, the leader in sports broadcasting. But as far as budgets go, Netflix is catching up fast, and will almost certainly surpass ESPN in 2018.

Charlie Cox Would Like To See Black Widow Appear In Netflix Shows

In two seasons of Daredevil, we have seen Matt Murdock move through many women. Claire Temple steamed up his apartment (though how far the couple went, in their very brief relationship, is left to the imagination of the viewers), he gave Karen goosebumps in the rain before their one and only date, and he was willing to throw everything in his life away for Elektra. It seems that the only woman in New York that was immune to the Murdock charm was Elena Cardenas, who adored Señor Foggy.
