The Steam Deck finally has Windows audio drivers
Two and a half months after our Steam Deck review, Valve has finally provided the drivers you’ll need for audio if you choose to install Windows on the gaming portable. Before today, you would have had to pair Bluetooth headphones or plug in USB-C earbuds or a dongle to get any kind of audio on Windows at all. Jamming Windows onto the Steam Deck robs the device of its soul
There are reasons you'd want to stick Windows onto Valve's Steam Deck. Obviously contrarianism is one. Morbid, geeky curiosity, another. But having made the jump into Windows 11 myself this past weekend, I need to tell you none of those reasons are good enough to rob the Steam Deck of its soul.
