Now that we are in the final countdown to the launch of GT Sport, we thought there was no better way to show our appreciation than by giving the PS community a head start on their racing journey. We are excited to announce a free GT Sport 4-day demo, available via PlayStation Store from October 9th through October 12th. PS Plus members will be able to pre-load the demo starting from October 7th at 8:00am PT, with access to the game on October 9th, at 12:00am PT.

To be completely honest, I wasn't sure of what I was walking into with Tooth and Tail; I'd heard about the game a while ago when it was initially announced, thought that it looked incredible, and then mostly forgot about it until quite recently, when it came time to try it out. I knew it to be a real time strategy game of some sort featuring mice and other woodland creatures, sort of like the Redwall books of my childhood, albeit in a setting more reminiscent of the Bolshevik revolution.

Hello GT Fans! I’m extremely excited to confirm that Gran Turismo Sport will be launching on October 17 in North America. Following the successful completion of our Closed Beta phase, as announced earlier this week, we are now entering the final stages of polishing as we prepare for launch.

According to an internal source, the online payment company Paypal today initiated a mass chargeback on "thousands" of Sony Entertainment Network transactions, for reasons yet-unknown. These chargebacks have ended up putting the PSN accounts affected into debt, which triggers the system to auto-ban that account until it's back in the black.

Shawn Layden at Sony has made something very clear today: there will be a PS5, and the smartphone style upgrade-approach will not takeover. In other words, we’ll still be getting our PS5 and ‘normal’ console cycles, probably in addition to smaller upgrades like the Pro, in the future.

Announced during the PlayStation Media Showcase at E3 2017, Bethesda’s sprawling milestone RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming to PlayStation VR. This isn’t an add-on experience or a demo intended to showcase the potential of the hardware — this is the full Skyrim experience in its entirety, including all of its well-received post-release content. I played Skyrim VR with a pair PS Move controllers, but Bethesda is building in DualShock 4 support as well.

We have been looking at a literally constant stream of messages, tweets and emails from you guys. And they were all basically asking the same single question – PS4 WHEN?

For Microsoft and Sony, the future of the console game business just might involve catering to a more enthusiast market, according to research published today by Nielsen Games. While Nintendo seems content banking on its portable Switch device, the owners of the Xbox and PlayStation brands are hoping mid-cycle console upgrades will convince consumers to shell out hundreds of dollars for only incrementally better devices. That could mean fewer consumers buy the latest devices, as the upper end of console market starts to resemble the PC.

As part of Sony's earnings report for the fiscal fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, the company announced it shipped 2.9 million PlayStation 4 units in the past three months. That's up from 2.3 million during the same period last year. For the full fiscal year (April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017), Sony shipped 20 million PS4 units, up from 17.7 million units during the prior fiscal year. What we’ve witnessed with the PS4 isn’t just amazing, but it shows the strength of the PlayStation brand as a whole. Sony has reinforced its claim as the leading gaming console provider with the PS4, although we should not forget that the PlayStation brand was actually introduced back in 1994.
