+1 +1Mystery egg fuels ‘Spyro’ remake rumors
Spyro the Dragon has been rumored to receive the remake treatment, like its brother-in-arms Crash Bandicoot. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, a strange package delivered to the Newsweek offices has us thinking a proper announcement is right around the corner. The plain, white box included a return address label listing the sender as Falcon McBob. Seeing as how I don’t know anyone from the McBob family, I was a little hesitant to open the box. There was also a strong odor of farmland emanating from it, so this was a strange one.

+2 +1PlayStation 3 Phat owners have a month left to claim ‘OtherOS’ class action settlement
Playstation 3 owners — and by this I mean owners of the phabulous Phat PlayStation 3 — have one month left to collect up to $65 as one of the longest and silliest controversies in the console’s history winds down. The settlement was reached in October 2016, and originally PS3 owners were told to expect up to $55. That’s increased to $65 now, possibly because fewer claims than expected were submitted in the 18 months since.

+6 +1Moss review - PlayStation VR's finest game to date
Set in an enchanting, storybook world, Moss is an interactive fairytale of grand adventure, bravery and friendship. Now, that might sound like the blurb from every fantasy game you've ever played, but Moss is different. This is a game that oozes charm from its every pore, and from the very first moment that you're introduced to protagonist Quill, a tiny mouse with a big personality, you can tell that you're about to play something very, very special indeed.

+16 +1PS4 exclusive Shadow of the Colossus tops chart
Shadow of the Colossus' PlayStation 4 remake has topped the UK charts with sales that dwarf those of the game's original release. The number of physical PS4 copies sold was 73 per cent up on the game's original PlayStation 2 release all the way back in February 2006. That figure does not include any download copies of the game, either - something which UK numbers company Chart-Track still doesn't, well, track.

+1 +1The 9 best Star Wars virtual reality experiences
Science fiction and virtual reality go together like medieval fantasy and LARPing. Two intergalactic peas in a space pod, if you will. +16 +3Sony Explains Why It Gives First-Party Devs So Much Creative Freedom
When you’re doing something you enjoy, you’re generally going to go the extra mile. This is a philosophy that applies to all walks of life, but it extends to game developers, too. There will be some out there who enjoy the churn of bi-annual releases in a safe and familiar franchise, but others prefer to flex their muscles with new and imaginative projects.

+20 +8A PlayStation 4 feature we'd love Xbox to copy
The way Sony allows downloads of some games is really good and I wish Microsoft would do the same. As we've moved into a more digital-driven world when it comes to delivering games to consoles, we're left with the always unpleasant wait for the download and install to complete. Especially now we're in a world with the Xbox One X with its inflated file sizes thanks to enhanced assets, even with decent broadband you can't just jump in and play.

+6 +1PS5 And Next Xbox Are "Minimum Of Two Years" Away, Ubisoft Predicts
It's going to be quite a while before we see a new PlayStation or Xbox console, according to Assassin's Creed Origins and Rainbow Six Siege publisher Ubisoft. In an investors' call, CEO Yves Guillemot stated the company believes the next major consoles are "a minimum of two years" away. "As Sony launched PlayStation 4 Pro last year and Microsoft Xbox One X this year, we think we still have a minimum of two years in front of us before something new is coming," Guillemot stated. "But that's our perception, we don't have any confidential information on that front."
