According to one of the developer’s at Square Enix’s Luminous Productions Studio, Square Enix is working on “New AAA Title for PS5”. This is the first hint of Square Enix’s Japan division working on a next-gen title, after numerous clues of their Western developers Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal seemingly confirming active development on titles for the PS5 and the next Xbox.

PlayStation 4 users are claiming that they are receiving messages that are preventing them from using their consoles. In several threads on the r/PS4 Reddit board, users are reporting that they are receiving messages through the console’s messaging application that are hard locking their consoles. The stories all follow a similar pattern: users receive a message, their controllers and sound outputs fail, and resetting the console results in continual error loops.

Earlier than usual, Sony has confirmed the PlayStation 4 games to be given away next month via PlayStation Plus. In November, Plus subscribers will be able to nab downloads of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami - not a bad selection. PlayStation Plus games are normally unveiled later in the preceding month - but the selection is being advertised already on PlayStation.com (as spotted by Nibel).

PLAYSTATION Network is down and NOT WORKING tonight as gamers struggle to get online. Sony has confirmed the issues with the company saying its "engineers are working to resolve the issue." Sony PlayStation gamers are suiffering with a major outage tonight as thousands can't access the PSN network. Problems seemed to start around 11.30pm with the issues still ongoing. Independent website Down Detector has received thousands of reports that Sony's PSN is down and not working.

Days Gone is an upcoming Action-Adventure title, currently being developed by Bend Studio. It’s a PlayStation Exclusive title which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a zombie-like creature called ‘Freakers’ hunts you. We already know that Days Gone won’t have any Difficulty slider which, at times, can be punishment. In an interview with Geoff Keighley, there were several topics on this title, but the most asked one was ‘How difficult is this game going to be?’ Following the interview, Sony Bend did mention that Days Gone will punish players for using excessive amounts of ammo.
