Dr. Luke's attorney denies report of Sony Music split amid Kesha court battle
An attorney for Dr. Luke has denied reports that the multiplatinum producer's deal with Sony Music will be terminated amid a court battle between the producer and his former collaborator, pop star Kesha. "This is not true. Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony. His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony and this has never come up," the producer's attorney, Christine Lepera, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times.

UK band Viola Beach 'killed in Swedish car crash'
The four members of British indie band Viola Beach and their manager have died in a car crash in Sweden. Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin and manager Craig Tarry were killed when their car plunged more than 25m (82ft) from a highway bridge into a canal. The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday near Stockholm. Mr Tarry's family say they are grieving his loss and "for the other families involved in this tragic accident".

Apple will start charging for iTunes Radio on January 28th
Apple just sent out an email alerting customers that iTunes Radio, the company's answer to Pandora, will no longer be free as of January 28th. "All radio stations except for Beats 1 will be available exclusively to Apple Music members," the message reads. So listening to Zane Lowe and Apple's other hired DJs will still cost nothing. Coachella has revealed its 2016 lineup. The Indio, California-based festival will again take place over the span of two weekends, April 15th – 17th and 22nd – 24th, at the Empire Polo Grounds. Specials drummer John Bradbury dies
John "Brad" Bradbury, drummer with The Specials, has died at the age of 62. The ska group tweeted the news: "It is with deep regret that we say goodbye to our great friend, the world's greatest drummer, our beloved Brad. RIP." Bradbury joined The Specials in 1979, and continued with the reversioned band The Special AKA, who had a top 10 hit with Free Nelson Mandela. Bradbury took part in The Specials reunion tour in 2009. He also headed up a band called JB Allstars.

Taylor Swift sued over Shake It Off lyrics
Pop star Taylor Swift is being sued for $42m (£27m) for allegedly stealing the lyrics to her hit 2014 song Shake It Off. US R&B singer Jesse Braham has claimed in legal papers Swift stole the words from a song he wrote in 2013 called Haters Gone Hate. As well as the monetary compensation, Mr Braham also wants his name added as a writer on the track.
