I did cry sometimes. My wife doesn't like animation movies because they are childish, she didn't mention it was animated one time, and half into the movie, she said “这个电影还不错”，(this movie is alright, which is excellent in her parlance)
I am not Chinese. It is like any other relationship, but with our particular differences due to culture. Both sides need to be open minded and willing to adapt or otherwise would not work. Like everything else.
You almost got me... I just watched it yesterday. Very enlightening movie.
