'Spider-Man: No Way Home' snags eye-popping $50M in previews
For the first time since the pandemic began, the box office is booming. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” grossed $50 million in Thursday previews alone, a stunning start for a movie set to break pandemic records. Sony Pictures’ “No Way Home” scored the third-largest preview total ever, trailing only those for “Avengers: Endgame” ($60 million) and “The Force Awakens” ($57 million). For years, there was only one answer to every dangling plot thread in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: “just wait until Thanos shows up in Avengers: Infinty War, and Avengers: Endgame.” But now, after much delay, Marvel Studios is finally weaving new material into its setting, with movies like Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Brie Larson Has Stopped Being a People Pleaser, Says - "It's Not Worth It"
The Marvel star Brie Larson, who plays Carol Denver in Captain Marvel, has been working on self-growth. Both personal and emotional. The actress is focusing and has stopped trying to please everyone for the sake of being nice. Guardians of the Galaxy interview: ‘There’s no reason Marvel games can’t be as exciting as the movies’
It may seem a little unfair to bring up the Avengers game when discussing Guardians of the Galaxy. After all, Crystal Dynamics‘ 2020 release is a completely different product to Eidos Montreal‘s upcoming action adventure game, and we’re sure its development team would be at great pains to stress that it should be judged on its own merits.

Captain America is no doubt one of the most recognizable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mainly because of the impressive portrayal of Chris Evans. Loki is as queer as Disney’s ever been — that’s just math
Disney is notorious for pushing its queer characters to the sidelines. Sometimes you can barely tell if they’re there at all, like Oaken’s maybe-husband in Frozen, or LeFou’s longing for Gaston in the live-action Beauty and the Beast. Then there are more prominent side characters in Disney-owned properties, like Joe Russo’s cameo in Avengers: Endgame, or the background lesbian kiss in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that could be easily edited out.

The MCU was Disney’s answer to The Office all along
In 2019, when forces like WarnerMedia, NBCUniversal, and Viacom were just gearing up to take on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon in the “streaming wars,” one of the greatest causes for consternation was The Office. Specifically, the fact that the NBC sitcom was leaving Netflix for the network’s own upcoming streaming service, Peacock.

Why the MCU's lighting kind of sucks
Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fandom is a fount of strong opinions, some of which I find wholly understandable (Tilda Swinton’s role was a fiasco; Sebastian Stan is an underrated gem) while others are a little more… puzzling. In the latter category, it’s always bizarre to see people praise the MCU’s lighting.
