I actually think that this is the reason I feel less like I am wasting my time here. I feel the community here is more sincere and so I gain more out of being here. As an example, the /t/asksnapzu question I posted not even 2 hours ago has already received more responses, all constructive, than I ever received in the total lifespan of any of my posts on reddit. I also ended up picking up a whole new hobby (learning python) because of a post here haha.
I also really like seeing a post somewhere and thinking to myslef, "hey! it's double2 from /t/Humour!" Gives a greater sense of belonging.
Plus you don't have to find a thread in the first ten seconds to get your comment read. In a reddit default, if you're not sitting on "new" you may as well just no post, because no one is reading it.
