Yes, but its not just the front page, Snapzu was designed to be heavily interconnected between the front page, the user feeds and multiple tribes, so not having a proper language based platform will create havoc. Until such a system that properly allows members to select their language preference as well as the language of the content they post we made the decision to keep content temporarily English only.

Are there plans to enforce this decision? Either by closing tribes or banning users? This has been brought up in a few comments and if such a heavy handed response is necessary, you may want to make a more official post (like on the blog) to state the reasons behind it. That would help with showing the community the communication they can expect from the admins, compared to the issues which drove the recent Reddit exodus.

I will be sure to make it more evident. But posting non-english content isn't exactly the type of thing we would ban a user for, unless they knowingly continued to abuse the system in some unfathomable way. Most of the time the community will down vote something a couple of times and its gone. Tribe chiefs can also remove non-english content, and if a tribe exists, we don't mind as in the future the support will be available and even encouraged. Our approach is that of educating rather than enforcing strictly something that isn't viewed as a negative, its just that we don't have the infrastructure to support it yet.

Thanks for that response, I think that clears up the confusion on this stance for me.
