Are you into reading the classics or are you ok with lower quality kindle publishing? There are some fun books that I've read that are less than $5 on kindle.
Also, what type of sci-fi do you enjoy?
Do you like spaceships, apocalypse, present day, far future, etc?

I don't mind the classics but would prefer to go with something released in the last 15-20 years or so. Cheaper books are great too as long as its a good read, no really, I don't want to be looking up words every 5 minutes! I like apocalyptic scenarios, dystopian futures, anything with AI/robots (good or bad), far future stuff lined with some optimism I will also enjoy.

Venus Equilateral is a series of stories written 70 years ago. It's a classic, but I'm not sure how many people have heard of it.
