I did end up pretty much stop using reddit entirely. Mostly because I ended up noticing that feeling welcome to participate in the discussion is something I appreciate, and that is not something I felt was necessarily always the case on reddit. Though this varies greatly depending on the subreddit, the interconnectedness with other subreddits always left this niggling feeling of vulnerability I suppose which led to reluctance in participating even in the "good" parts.
