Honestly, I think the most important improvement that our community can realistically achieve is quality of content... As our community grows we need to be vigilant to down vote those spam posts that I have noticed appearing lately. Luckily the site is still small enough that even one user can make all the difference with a strategically placed down vote. As for changes to the site, hmm...

    1. Simplified way of finding the best up and up and coming tribes, as well as the ability for more customization on the tribes you are chief in, ie. moderator support that actually works, ability to expand into sub-areas or linking tribes together in one cover page
    2. Better looking and more sharable content pages that allow users to create article quality snaps / lists etc (at this point I feel they tend to be a bit too member-centric)
    3. Visual fixes to the snapzine concept that will allow me to freely share my collections (editions) with my friends. It's too crowded with all of those current options. It would be good to remove or hide some of them to prevent visitors from being overloaded with functionality options

There is actually a few more things that I've been thinking about over the last few months, Ill come back and update my list as they come to mind.

Can you expand on number 2?

I feel there is too much functionality creating an information overload on the pages of snapzu that matter most, those that are created by us and shared by us. The general sense I get is that those pages can be leaner, without all of that user-centric functionality that most likely scares away readers and possible new members. Snaps should display truly relevant information, the rest is secondary and only to those who care.

So do you think a system of "Create Snap" being a very simple post layout (similar to reddit) but have a button for advanced options would be best?

I was referring to the snaps themselves, but yea I can see how a simplified link snap creation process can also benefit those who prefer to quickly share a link and don't want to be bothered with all of that extra functionality. The advanced options I figure would be used to create content rich snaps for those who want to host their original ideas on the site itself.
