I think I'm about to get a bunch of XP from my reputation score.
It seems like you accumulate reputation much quicker from posting snaps versus posting comments.
I'm more of a commenter, so my reputation is creeping up slowly.
Actually, posting a single comment is worth almost as much XP as posting a link snap. I would argue that sometimes comments require more effort to post than a link. Here is a comparison based on my profile (subject to change based on rep score and level of course):
Comment = +2490 XP
Link Snap = +3000 XP

Oops, misread your comment. Reputation gain is based on the total amount of upvotes minus the total amount of downvotes received over a period of time. I think at the end its about even from a vote generation point of view.
