I must admit, though, I was guilty of creating a tribe on my first day. I did, however, search to find the same thing already on Snapzu (which I didn't) and try and give it an original angle.
Yeah I instantly created an antiReddit tribe then looked at how many tribes are similar, so I looked around and found a vacant tribe (Shameless pimping or /t/debate) and decided that I preferred that. Since then I've had a lot more of a "push" to post content, even if no one is currently reading.
Yeah. I was a little disappointed to see the same names for tribes as the subs on reddit. I think the key is:
- Choose something you're genuinely passionate about.
- Search for similar existing tribes.
- Come up with a fun and unique name.
