      The cost is less users joining. The benefit is that we can still use the site...

        Thanks for replying. I'm really not sure. I love the site as it is, and I'd like to hope that bolstering the community would lead to more diverse discussion, but I'd hate to see the site go the way of others that have failed after growing so large.
