I'm also from Texas (up north) but had no idea where Wimberley was until I checked out a map. Texas is big, it's hard to know where everything is. I've been to San Marcos nearby tons of times, and my parents took us to float the Comal once a year for our one vacation, so I have nothing but fond memories for that area. Most include drinking lots of alcohol while floating, and everyone just enjoying themselves. Lovely place! That spring in Wimberley looks really nice too. It's a shame too many people started showing up and leaving their trash. That was always a problem on the river too, people not picking up after themselves. It's a shame people can't be more responsible.
Wow, I didn't know they got that big. That's larger than UNT up in Denton which is where I graduated from. We had 35,000 students. I didn't hear much about the flooding down there since I'm out in San Francisco now, but that's rough. I knew about North Texas getting massive storms though since my family and a lot of my friends are still up there. Nice to meet you too!
